All I wanted to do with this poor thing was keep her safe in a lead box for a few weeks and tell her that we had removed the part of her brain that made her wacko, and that she was cured. As it is, there is no easy way out for a deluded individual. The delusion is often fixed and immovable, it seems. One bright note in the Washington Post story was the faint inkling that for some sufferers, the delusions can be oftern stilled by pharmaceuticals. The sad refrain in all of these claims is, "we tell you and you think we are mentally ill." Well, yes, delusions are not exactly a sign of optimum mental health. When you claim, as did this family, that your neighbours are hurling electromagnetic barrages of torment your way, what other rational alternatives obtain?

Paul, dude, do you yourself believe this torture is visited on you? If so, what possesses you to hang out your shingle at a place like this? Please at least entertain the idea that some of these beliefs are delusions, and then ask yourself how you can tell the difference between a real electromagnetic attack and a false alarm due to delusion.

A few short weeks ago I received a phone call from a gentleman who identified himself as the state coordinator of the Ron Paul grassroots campaign. He was searching for someone to become the district coordinator in each Congressional district in the state. Imagine this happening in every state in the country! He had a list of donors to Ron Paul who were called to arms to attend the district caucuses where many were elected to be McCain or Romney delegates. They are only bound to vote for them on the first ballot but McCain does not have enough so called bound delegates to get the nomination on the first ballot!

Then they will be free to vote for whomever they want. The Republican nominating convention will be filled with Ron Paul supporters who will be playing by the rules. McCain will not be the nominee. Ron Paul will be!

In case you hadn't noticed Ron Paul, in his twenty years in the U.S. Congress has never voted for a program which is not explicitly authorized in the Constitution! Virtually all the others pay lip service to it, swear an empty oath to uphold it, then proceed to pass laws or engage in acts which are in violation of the Constitution.

As a consequence our country is in its present state of collapse as a free country. Men and woman are being killed in an undeclared war of invasion and occupation overseas which is also draining our treasury and putting us deeper in debt to our avowed enemies.

The currency which should have been only gold and silver coin has been replaced by paper imitation as a result of legal tender laws which violate the Constitution.

The Federal Reserve Banks are private and not a government agency which is not authorized by the Constitution and which prints money thus reducing the purchasing power of all of us including elderly people on fixed incomes.

So many do not appear to understand that there is well-thought out, determined process at work out there, to completely change the character of American Freedom and individual rights. It is an age old process that for so many reasons has picked up steam again,
but moving with the stealth and determination of a grizzly on the prowl. Moving at a pace reserved for cooking live lobsters, but can so easily quicken.

But do not underestimate the resources of those who would destroy the Jeffersonian beacon.You have to make sure you cover all the angles, wrinkles and possibilities.

I am not sure if the people on OL have their head in the ground or not. I have been posting on these boards for a little bit, and there does seem to be a lot of discussion here about a wide range of topics. Basically if you bring it up in intelligent manner, people here will discuss it. Now expecting them to agree with you.... Well we are a bunch of individualist right?

On the other hand, I am not sure what people who post here are doing to actively change the world we live in, other than living objectively. Philosophy is the undercurrent of the expression of our society and how we think, react and interact with each other is based largely on our individual philosophy. Therefore, I believe that the academic and political arenas are best suited for our activism. The academic seems to be the area that most objectivist focus their attention. Whether through educating people one on one, lending them a copy of Atlas Shrugged or even through the efforts of the Objectivist Center and ARI, it seems that most of the focus of objectivist is towards education, while most objectiist have neglected politics (other than complaining and voting). While the intellectual battle has to be won over the long haul through education, politics is one of the direct expressions of the philosophical attitudes of our society, it is also the place where a small minority can vastly change the philosophical attitudes of a large group of people in short period of time. It is also a place where we must hold back the forces of collectivism, since government is at the heart of collectivism (it is collective by its very definition). To be truly effective force in our society I believe that we must not only educate, but be actively involved in local and national politics by either helping good candidates or becoming candidates ourselves.

So I was wondering what other OL'ers have been doing in our world to help change it?

Here is what I have been trying to do:

In 2006 I started to become politically active. I volunteered for local guy that was running for Congress, unfortunately we lost the primary. Then this past year I was inspired by Congressman Paul's run for President. Since last year, June '07. I have been working very hard trying to get the message of liberty and Ron Paul out to masses. While campaigning for Paul, I have also convinced many people I have met to read Atlas or the Fountainhead. I also started 3 meetup groups within 2 hrs of my home to promote RP, and became an assistant in my hometown meetup group. Once these meetups got off the ground I passed them on to local organizers. I can say that these meetups now have a collective total of over 300 politically active members. Last year I also became the Republican Precinct Chairman for my precinct, I then ran for the position unopposed in the last election and a month ago when our county chair had to step down due to family reasons, I was voted in as Republican County Chairman for Robertson County Texas. I know that may make some of you cringe, but oh well, that is what we have to do to change the path of this country. I will also be attending the Texas State Republican Convention as a delegate. Furthermore, we have turned our local Ron Paul Meetup group into a branch of the Republican Liberty Caucus (rlc.org), and plan on multi-pronged approach including continuing education of the public, public debate between different groups as well as locating, supporting and fostering the development of liberty minded candidates within the Republican Party.

I have made a commitment that if they (the collective) are going to try and take my liberty, then I am not going down without swinging.

Dear Sir or Madam:

This law firm represents Freedom from Covert Harassment and
Surveillance ("Freedom"), an organization with several hundred members
around the country and internationally who have reason to believe they
are targeted with various non-lethal weapons. Freedom is currently
communicating with legislators in order to institute hearings and
investigations of the numerous abuses of citizens.

The purpose of this letter is to inform medical providers of the
factual and legal background behind many complaints of physical and
psychological symptoms that patients relate to non-lethal weapons. It
has come to our attention that medical providers often dismiss these
allegations as unrealistic and false and attribute them to mental
instability. It is difficult to legally prove targeting by
psychotronic weapons when the perpetrators operate from remote, unseen
locations and therefore the targeting can be dismissed as delusional.
Given the wide scope of alleged targeting, there is a certain risk of
sounding too conspiratorial, however, common denominators exist, such
as similar physical and psychological claims, surveillance scenarios,
and harassment techniques.

We strongly urge you to not summarily dismiss a patient's claims of
being targeted with non-lethal, directed energy weapons for the
following reasons:

Evidence supports the conclusion that weapons exist that could be used
against individuals, based on U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
filings, public releases by agencies, and other technologies that
indicate the level of technological sophistication. The weapons are
believed to be based on electromagnetism, microwaves, sonic waves,
lasers and other types of directed energy, and were characterized as
"psychotronic" in Rep. Dennis Kucinich's draft of House Resolution
2977, the Space Preservation Act of 2001.

Furthermore, it is undeniable that government agencies have tested
citizens without permission in the past; for example, the CIA's human
experimentation discussed in Orlikow v. U.S., 682 F.Supp. 77 (D.D.C.
1988), secretly administered lysergic acid diethylamide discussed in
United States v. Stanley, 483 U.S. 669 (1987), and military chemical
experimentation as discussed in Congressional Committee Report 103-97,
103d Congress, 2d Session, S. Prt. 103-97 (Dec. 8, 1994).

Lastly, the sheer numbers of people complaining of being targeted,
including people with post-graduate degrees and a lifetime of
achievements, and the similarities in symptoms, tend to outweigh a
dismissive response based on charges of anecdotal evidence or group
paranoia.

Therefore, we urge you to at least consider the possibility of
symptoms resulting from radiation, electromagnetism, sonic energy,
other unusual types of energy, as well as psychological symptoms
resulting from intentional harassment.

The scope of this "project" being inflicted on us innocent citizens, in violation of the Constitution and International Laws on human Rights, the scope is so large it can be mind boggling. PLEASE TAKE IT SERIOUSLY.

To not do so would be to repeat Chamberlain's mistake with Hitler. We are not exactly sure who actually controls the technology we speak of. Any one of us may know them, but we would not know. So even though they may seem familiar to you please do not make the mistake that we are dealing with "Boy Scouts". I have my shattered life to remind me of this, and they have not the humanity or conscience to stop; much less to do what any court would order them to do, when presented with the technical evidence. Plus recall, the DoD/CIA Black Projects Budget " is reported to be a Trillion dollar budget.

Why are they doing this, and doing this now. ( Since 1990 at least in my case)

I will give but one of several possible motivations. It has to do with organized religion.

What you must fully appreciate is that when deeply, genuinely believing Catholics say that they are supposed to be God's representative on Earth, as bequeathed them by Jesus, they really believe so. I am just stating something factual. Supreme Court justice Judge Scalia certainly believes this. ( I wanted to hold off on this reply due to, and out of respect for, important "visits" taking place in the US, but the harassment is such that they left me no choice)

So behind the scene elite members of that organization have been placing themselves in leadership mode"guiding" and working with other denominations, especially Fundamentalists, and being a driving force behind the development and usage of the technology.

When they, and other denominations say they must have "Dominion over All", they really mean it. And as Ayn Rand made her case in " For The New Intellectual" we know how such "metaphysics" turn out. Today we can document the psychological processes as to why such people turn into Fascist, despite all their good intentions. That is why I made the Chamberlain/ Hitler connection

This is not universal, there are some who genuinely follow the wisdoms and truths in Jesus' teaching and do not turn out that way. But they are not in prominence especially among that group using the technology.( The true ones oppose it as they should)

And then some are using the Revelation Book in the New Testament as a script.

I am in a Third World country and I am living this day-in day-out. You think the US Fundamentalists are bad, you have no idea about these. It is like a throw-back to the mindset of medieval times. Further they have a very poor appreciation of individual rights, for developmental reasons, so you can guess what it is like. They call me names like guinep , their local term for atheist, do so with relish, as if that is all the justification they need, having no idea how they would be insulting the intelligence of any Supreme deity, and no such higher-order arguments has any effect on these people. And these assaults are happening globally!!

Do you want to gamble that this will not also end-up being the fate of so many in the US and elsewhere? That is why my comment about ostriches with heads in the sand, and I intentionally said it that way to alert you all to the lurking danger that MUST be organized against.

Please refrain from the knee-jerk reactions, and carefully consider all that I have said.
