I wandered into our (small) bookstore during lunch time today. I found a big stack of books . . . "Why Business Men Need Philosophy" - by Ayn Rand. Language: Mandarin.

You just never know where you'll find her ...

I was back in the bookstore this Tuesday - and found, next to that stack (which was noticeably shorter), a stack of Free to Choose - Milton Friedman.

Excellent. I am always reminded of Dominique's self reflection that every time she sees a unique building, I believe it was a gas station, she said I knew it was yours.

And I remember that the metaphor used was and underground spring which would travel for miles undetected, unknown and unseen to suddenly burst forth upon the surface. [or words to that effect].

I knew that I would always mention to anyone I came in contact with sometime during the developing conversation as to whether they had read one of the four.

I am still in contact with them today and they do the same protocol.

It always made ultimate sense to change one person, one mind at a time.
