I have not been on this forum in a long, long time. My apologies. This is the only Objectivist community I go to so I guess I have been rather negligent.

Why haven't I been on OL? I've been busy, got sidetracked on some things. Plus, I'm working on the Masters Thesis From Hell ™.

You know how a long time ago I posted an assignment I did for Evolutionary Economics? Well, the Masters Thesis From Hell ™ is an evolution of that project. Essentially its an attempt at synthesizing an Austrian-Evolutionary economic framework atop an Objectivist metaphysical/epistemological base.

My thesis advisor is the same Prof. that tought Evolutionary Econ. I got him into Objectivism (by finally convincing him to read Atlas Shrugged... he loved it) and he's contemplating doing a post-thesis co-authored paper on the synthesis to be submitted to the Journal of Ayn Rand Studies. Naturally I'm very excited about this possibility.

So yes, now you all have your Token Goth back. Glad to be back here.

Andrew,

Yo!

Don't worry about being gone for a while. What is good for Andrew is good for everyone here.

I am glad you are building something. Now that's important.

Fascinating! I have just begun to read - The Theory of Money of Credit - (Von Mises) and I would really like to hear what you have to say about the Austrian School of Economics Theory. My favorite speech from Atlas Shrugged was not John Galt's 60 plus page peroration but Fransisco's Money Speech. In that area I thought Ayn Rand was (pardon the pun) right on the money.

Thank you both Michael and Baal for your warm welcomes back.

Michael,

In music-related news, I'm remastering my work (still learning the ins and outs of production!) and I'm redoing my songs... "Neurocide" is being difficult but I'll get it done. And I've already written another song's melodies, I just have to program the synths and noise (apart from the bassline which is already programmed).

Baal,

I am an Austrian-school economist as much as I am an Evolutionary economist so I love the Austrians. I consider myself both Misesian and Hayekian.

Chris,

Thanks for the welcome! I wish I could party, but it will probably have to be sometime after the 15th (and my last exam, which is probably on after that). Masters Thesis From Hell ™, after all.

Of course, if it gets turned into a co-authored paper in JARS, I'll inform the forum.
