Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

------From Ehrman's Desiderata.

Also hum the best secular hymn (or anthem) ever written: You'll Never Walk Alone by Rodgers and Hammerstein.

Even the Soccer Jocks in Liverpool like it

If you want to hear Schubert's Ave Maria you'd better not listen to those kitsch versions with the wrong text. Here is the original version, sung by a real artist.

What an exquisite voice! I just spent a half hour listening to her. Thank you for recommending her.

Although I don't agree with you about Lanza and Pavarotti.
