Caught on tape: Official denies being an official - while under oath!

While this brief video shows me someone whom I probably would not like to have in my social circle, she plainly stated a fact. She is not a public official. She was not elected to office. She took no oath of office. A police officer ("officer") takes an oath. A school teacher does not, as many other employees of many governments do not.

It may be that a different and arguably more rational society could require that anyone employed by the government at any level do take an oath and be considered an official. That is not how it works, here and now.
