Incidentally, I was going to follow my earlier post with the following, but there was a temporary site outage. So I saved it.

Here is what I would have posted before, but am posting now:

I should add that Islamists are excellent propagandists, also.

More crude than folks like Lakoff, maybe, but judging from the way the mainstream press treats Islamist atrocities, they are quite effective.

I use a results-oriented standard to say that--especially noting what gets left out during highly selective outrage, not an "us against them" standard.

Of course I felt offended (not a lot, but somewhat). Nobody likes to be psychologised, do they. Unless they invite it, and even then they usually do not like it.
