Reason Papers has put a number of the essays from its back issues on the internet. Quite a few of them pertain to Ayn Rand and Objectivism. Here is the link for the RP archives.

In 1988, editor Tibor R. Machan put together a tribute to Dr. Hospers on the occasion of his 70th birthday. Here are some of the pertinent pieces from that issue of RP. (They are PDF files, so they will take a bit longer to load, especially with dial-up.)

See especially Douglas B. Rasmussen's essay John Hospers and the Activity of Philosophy. (TWIMC: Dr. Rasmussen was a college classmate of myself and my present wife back in the late 1960s, and he was best man at my first wedding. He has co-authored with Douglas Den Uyl several books on Aristotelian philosophy in relation to ethics and rights theory, and he currently teaches philosophy at St. Johns University in New York.)

Also see the Preface by Tibor R. Machan.

And Hospers' 'Ultimate Moral Equality' by John O. Nelson.

And Hospers on the Artist's Intentions by Mary Sirridge.

Happy reading, all!
