merjet Posted September 3, 2013 Author Share Posted September 3, 2013 it's interesting to contrast what McCaskey's article says about definition and essence -- especially in his examples of cholera, Ohm's Law, and tides -- to those of Karl Popper as opined is his Two Kinds of Definitions (link to an OL thread about TKoD and with another link to it).
