St. Louis riots and looting

Also, it's all over the news. Michael Brown stole a box of cigars from a convenience store (he's even on video) and that's why the police officer, Darren Wilson, stopped him in the first place.

The police chief says that officer Darren Wilson did not know about the robbery, according to a report from Fox News Insider:

New information just came out from the Ferguson police chief, who said that the officer who fatally shot Michael Brown did not know about a robbery allegedly committed by the unarmed black teenager. Earlier today, police chief Thomas Jackson said that Brown is suspected of robbing cigars from a convenience store.

Police released images and video of Brown allegedly committing the robbery.

Jackson now says the robbery had "nothing to do with" the confrontation between officer Darren Wilson and Brown.

Jackson said that Wilson stopped the men because they were walking in the middle of the street, blocking traffic.

Video of the chief also here.

I hope we don't become like Greg -- thinking that everybody gets what they deserve as a function of a well-ordered moral universe.

Would that be the feminized liberal queenly "we"?

The objective reality of people getting what they deserve as the consequences they set into motion by their own actions...

...has absolutely nothing to do with your subjective opinion of whether or not they do.

And sometimes accidents happen which have nothing to do with what people did or intended. If a Tunguska size comet blows up in the atmosphere over New York City and kills 95 percent of the population, would you classify the deaths as a -moral- consequence of something? Somehow I think you just might. If so your thinking is twisted like a pretzel.. If not, good for you.

(shrug) So?

That has nothing to do with what I had said. I'm not sure you actually read what I wrote. Try again: I'll make it real easy for you to comprehend this time:

Here's the crap that irks me:

Justice Department Reportedly Asked Ferguson Cops Not To Release Alleged Robbery Video Of Slain Teen
by Erin Fuchs
Aug. 16, 2014
Business Insider

From the article:

Ferguson cops had wanted to release the video on Thursday but held off when federal officials asked them not to release the tape, an unnamed law enforcement official told CNN. That tape allegedly showed Brown stealing cigars from a convenience store before a police officer shot the unarmed 18-year-old in the street last weekend.

Despite holding off Thursday, Ferguson police still decided to release the tape Friday over the Justice Department's objections, according to CNN.

The Justice Department may have been correct about the effect the tape would have.

No bias in the DOJ at all, huh?. Nor in Business Insider.

And on the police side, why not at least say whether the shooter cop is white or black? If he's white, say so. Ditto if he's black. That's part of the core of what the riots are about. Hell, leak it to the press if need be.

Noooo... That can't possibly happen. God knows how the public will react.

Much better to let our wise benevolent masters decide what information we, the public, should get. They know so very much better than we do.

These dumbasses don't see how the public is reacting already. Part of that is this cover-up mentality that infests all sides.

Damn!

That galls me.

This is a very interesting call.

If it is true, and that should be easily verifiable, the officer allegedly received an alert about a "strong arm robbery" and a description.

A woman named “Josie," who says she is a friend of Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, called into The Dana Loesch Radio Show today to offer Officer Wilson's side of the story.

Officer Wilson was inadvertently part of a sad series of events that led to the explosion of violence in the suburban St. Louis community of Ferguson, Missouri this past week. He was finally identified by the local police after days of anonymity, and one can only guess that he now fears for his life and the lives of those around him.

More information emerges from the public:

A Witness Conversation Unknowingly Captured at the Scene of the Ferguson Shooting is a Game-Changer

There's a video and transcript at the link.

This is terribly important because if Mike Brown had been shot, and he advanced towards the cop instead of surrendering, it would substantiate the narrative that the policeman shot in self-defense due to the fact that he was being threatened with severe bodily harm.

As I understand it, Michael Brown was a huge dude. As he got away from the police, the officer pulled his gun and yelled, "Freeze!" Instead of doing that or continuing running, Brown turned around and rushed the officer. So the officer shot. Brown kept rushing and the officer kept shooting.

We'll see if this is what the final conclusion is, but it seems reasonable at this stage. There are now two unrelated witnesses who corroborate Brown rushing the officer.

Michael:

Yes, this one is apparently much clearer than Zimmerman in Florida.

Is the second account the woman on the radio who related what the officer's significant other told her, which was compelling to me.

To be fair, here is another perspective:

Tiffany Mitchell, Eyewitness To Michael Brown Shooting, Speaks

Real Clear Politics Video

The video doesn't embed (or at least I can't find out how right now  ).

Lawrence O'Donnell questions Tiffany Mitchell in the manner of a lawyer.

She claims she saw Michael Brown outside the police car with his hands on the car when the first shot was fired. She also claims Michael stayed put with his hands up when he turned around and the officer advanced on him blazing away.

She also says the cop was a tall white male.

Odd... how can they be struggling with the cop supposedly trying to pull Brown through the window, when also she says Brown's hands were outside the car?

Something stinks to high heaven here...

The forensic tracks of the bullets are going to frame the scene.

If, the "victim" has one entry wound in his back.

If, the "victim" turned and raised his hands and then there are several shots to his torso and head and the "victim" did not rush him, then the officer has a problem.

I do not know enough about the forensic tracks and whether they can tell the distance between the shooter and the "victim." If they can and each subsequent shot was closer, then either the shooter kept closing, or, the "victim" rushed him.

Well, well...

Interesting article by Kareem Abdul Jabbar...

Ferguson is not just about systemic racism—it's about class warfare, and how America's poor are held back

Will the recent rioting in Ferguson, Missouri, be a tipping point in the struggle against racial injustice, or will it be a minor footnote in some future grad student’s thesis on Civil Unrest in the Early Twenty-First Century?

Well, well

And this was the family's autopsy specialist Baden.

So, how many shots did the officer fire?

if he only fired six (6) then he did not fire at his back.

If he fired nine (9) he is not a great shot and many police officers are not good shots.

Autopsy Shows Michael Brown Was Struck at Least 6 Times

FERGUSON, Mo. — Michael Brown, the unarmed black teenager who was killed by a police officer, sparking protests around the nation, was shot at least six times, including twice in the head, a preliminary private autopsy performed on Sunday found.

One of the bullets entered the top of Mr. Brown’s skull, suggesting his head was bent forward when it struck him and caused a fatal injury, according to Dr. Michael M. Baden, the former chief medical examiner for the City of New York, who flew to Missouri on Sunday at the family’s request to conduct the separate autopsy. It was likely the last of bullets to hit him, he said.

Mr. Brown, 18, was also shot four times in

http://online.wsj.com/articles/what-happens-when-police-officers-wear-body-cameras-1408320244

"Use of force by police officers declined 60% in first year since introduction of cameras in Rialto, Calif."

The explanation for this statistic is that miscreants behave themselves when they know they're being recorded. The potential miscreant could be the cop but not necessarily likely. Every police officer in the nation wearing a body mounted camera would probably pay for itself the first day.

I hope they release the victim's toxicology report soon. One can only speculate from his haggard appearance and violent actions that he was on PCP, steroids, crack, or whatever. And oh, yes nicotine from the cigars he stole.

And why would a huge black youth be walking in the middle of the street blocking traffic and refusing to move? That shows some seriously flawed and belligerent thinking.

The strong arm video from the store has no sound but the owner was clearly threatened to be quiet. I would like to hear the store owners account of the incident and conversation. I saw some online pictures of the victim showing he was a member of The Bloods gang. The bloods are notorious for their shake down tactics and compelling local witnesses to lie to the police.

In the space of how many seconds were the shots fired? That will need to be established. The FBI is there so we may have more info soon including surveillance video. Do any of the bullet wounds indicate he was raising his arms as the agitators and mourners are reenacting over and over again?

If he was a thuggish potential murderer who just committed a violent crime, was inciting the drivers to some kind of action on the road, and reached into a police car, does this prove that force was required to stop him? I would think so, but I am not so sure about emptying a revolver into him in the heat of the moment . . . yet I can't say I would not have done the same thing, in that neighborhood?

Perhaps. Coincidentally I just donated some old ammo to a local gun shop. The ammo had been owned by my grandfather. Sure, I will take it off your hands, the owner said. There were 30-06, 9mm, and shotgun shells going back to the 1950s and 60s. The box weighed twenty pounds easily. I still have a 9mm German Lugar but I hesitated to shoot that old ammo, which seems to misfire and jam up the clip. Lugars have their weight in the back which makes them a bit unwieldy. It is better to have the weight of the gun near the exit point of the bullet, according to former fictional sniper, Bob Lee Swagger.

I hope folks are listening and considering the facts as known by the lone police officer. He was patrolling a place called The Hood, for a reason. The reason is criminal activity. When gangs come to a city they spray paint graffiti identifying themselves. Soon the police receive tips about gang activity in that neighborhood. Many times, one gang will rat out rival gangs because the other gang is competition. This snitching and tips increases the publics and the Police Departments knowledge of the nature of the neighborhood. The people who inhabit that area are well aware of the criminal activity - as you would be. The officer was in a gang inhabited neighborhood.

Protests and the appearance of a hate group, The New Black Panthers, may signal a genuine grievance but the looting and violence committed demonstrates latent criminal propensity. The criminals just needed a pretext. Much of the rhetoric from the protesters including family members has deliberately fanned the flames.

The victim was a huge, muscular man. The victim was belligerently blocking traffic. He failed to heed a police officers warning. The officer may have had prior knowledge of a person who fit the victims description. In any case the office correctly saw what he saw, and profiled the lawbreaker. At some point the victims arms and other body parts were in the police vehicle. If you are on the scene a supposed victim is quickly identified as a perpetrator and you instantly become alarmed and in a fight or flight mode even a police officer. The victim was a thug. He had just strong armed robbed a store. So, it is correct to say the police officer CORRECTLY estimated the situation.

Adam,

Unbelievably, Don Lemon of CNN reported on this interview:

How in hell did that happen? :)

Just joking. Sometimes Lemon goes his own way from the left-wing narrative.

I caught this on TheBlaze here.

What was that charming organization that O'bama had to have disbanded and now has other names?

I thought it was this bad.

Amazing how you will not see these photos on television, "main stream," cable, or, alternate more than 5%, if that.

On Saturday August 9, 2014, 18 year-old Michael Brown was shot to death by a Ferguson police officer after he had earlier robbed a local convenience store.

Since his death protesters have gathered every night in Ferguson and caused mass destruction in the community.

The vandalism and destruction is enormous.

Several dozen businesses have been damaged in the violence.

Here is an interactive map of the attacks, shootings, lootings, and destruction.

Many of the local businesses have been looted not just once, but twice.

On Sunday Adam Sharp took photos of the looted Ferguson businesses.

Here are JUST A FEW of the Ferguson businesses attacked by looters.

On the news page of USA Today the victim's mother is shown giving a black power, clenched fist salute while his father is holding up his arms in an "I surrender fashion." The black power salute is a blatantly racist, radical gesture as bad as the Nazi salute and shouting "Sieg Heil!" Black Power is racism at its worst. If the victims parents had been white Klu Klux Klansmen, the progressive propaganda machine would have sniffed Good Riddance to bad rubbish. When I first saw his mother inciting to riot on the day after he was slain I knew that she was one of the monsters who taught her gentle giant to hate . . . steal . . . and potentially kill others . . . and to hate other races.

So far tonight, (its 9:35) the demonstration in Ferguson seems to be legitimate and peaceful. But can you imagine being a white person or a Pakistani wandering into that neighborhood before and especially after this incident, without a camera on you? I hope all the stores that were destroyed will relocate into decent neighborhoods and get the hell out of the racist Hood.
