Reason. Achievement. Ethical Self-Interest: The pillars of a free, dynamic, and peaceful society.

The Atlas Society promotes open Objectivism: the philosophy of reason, achievement, individualism, and freedom.

Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism was set forth in such works as her epic novel Atlas Shrugged, and in her brilliant non-fiction essays.

Objectivism is designed as a guide to life, and celebrates the remarkable potential and power of the individual. Objectivism also challenges the doctrines of irrationalism, self-sacrifice, brute force, and collectivism that have brought centuries of chaos and misery into the lives of millions of individuals.

It provides fascinating insights into the world of politics, art, education, foreign policy, science, and more, rewarding you with a rich understanding of how ideas shape your world. Those who discover Objectivism often describe the experience as life-changing and liberating.

The Atlas Society Asks Peter Copses Transcript

Peter Copses has had a storied career in finance and investment. Though recently retired, Peter was a founding senior partner of Apollo Management, which is a leading global alternative asset manager with over $300 billion of assets under management. Over his 30-year career at Apollo, he's played a part in countless business turnarounds in a wide variety of sectors, serving on boards ranging from Ralph's to GNC and serving as Chairman of the Board of CKE Restaurants, which includes brands such as Carl's Jr. and Hardee's. As a trustee of The Atlas Society, he joined CEO Jennifer Grossman for one of our earliest episodes of The Atlas Society Asks to discuss the impact of an educational system that teaches students to hate America along with the government’s role in sacrificing our rights in the name of “safety” during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
