HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAEL! (following Adam's lead: the one-man orchestra)

Photographer creates picture of 100-man orchestra… with the same person playing each instrument

An Oslo musician and photographer has created a panoramic photo stitched together using 400 images, showing an entire orchestra with every instrument played by the same person. Violinist Alexander Light created the 200MP picture by shooting percussionist Heming ValebjØrg sitting in every seat on a stage laid out for the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra while he played the appropriate instrument for that position.

Starting by shooting the empty stage as a guide, the shoot took Light five hours to complete – but a further seven months to cut out and stitch together so that the images looked real. The detail is very impressive.

This feels good.

Love to all of you.

Michael

I failed. All my evil schemes fail. This results in extremely low pseudo self-esteem.

--Grump

I keep trying to pump it up but I've never even been arrested; I have no rap sheet; rats!

now, to get back to happy birthday, Michael . . . (my head hurts)

Didn't we just do this last year? (He doesn't look any older, either. Maybe he has a painting somewhere.)

Nah, the hands are nowhere close to the chin.

Happy Birthday, MSK!
