Check, check,...check...etc.

I like the wringer/washer. Brought back memories of our neighbor, Anna Johnson, who did her laundry in one of those and hung it outside on a clothesline. She was near 90, this was around 1960. She babysat us kids from time to time, taught us to play pinochle and 31, fed us swedish pancakes. She cooked on a wood stove. I used to split wood for her and stack it in her woodshed. I got ginger ale and swedish cookies and perhaps a quarter for that. What a dear lady. Thanks Adam.

Wow, Mike... your neighbor brought to mind a startlingly similar experience. In the '50's we also had a neighbor, Mrs. Sherman. She was a genuine pioneer woman who came to California in a covered wagon,. She drove a 1950 Desoto and tended her garden right up to three days before she died a natural death at 90 years old. She was a kind and gracious lady, and I will never forget her good example.
