George H. Smith
A notice from political philosopher Matt Zwolinski. I will be commenting on 3 chapters of the book manuscript by Zwolinski and Tomasi, two leading "Bleeding Heart" libertarians. Tucson friends - John Tomasi and I will be holding a workshop on our book, A Brief History of Libertarianism, on Thursday, September 26th, at the Freedomcenter Uofa. Kevin Vallier, Roderick Tracy Long, George H. Smith, Dan Russell, and Charles W. Johnson will be our commentators. But we'd love to have you there too! If you want to come, please let us know and we will send you a copy of the manuscript. Or talk to Carmen Pavel, who is helping us to organize things in Tucson. Hope to see you there!Ghs
caroljane
"Bleeding Heart" I have never understood how this is an insult. To give forth blood is the business of the heart.

"Bleeding Heart" is not an insult, in this context. It is a label that Bleeding Heart Libertarians formulated and applied to themselves, presumably with a wink and a nod.
