Advice For Dating With Aspergers ...

This article reminds me of some of Bob's comments on Aspergers, even to the fact that this author is 32 yrs. old...

Dating isn't easy, and it's even less so when you've got Asperger's, an autism spectrum disorder that can make it hard to read social cues.

Jesse Saperstein knows that all too well. In his new book, "," the 32-year-old tells his fellows on the spectrum that they need to be up front with potential dates that they have Asperger's. And he says they also need to realize that what feels to them like sincere interest can all too often be perceived as creepiness. This is an edited version of our conversation.

More like MSK's bean commercial... Not even funny...

What would be amusing would be a guide for ordinary people (dullards) telling them how to be acceptable to us.

1. Have (or feign) a compulsive interest in something trivial like coins, stamps, or Conoco advertising media.

2. Understand and appreciate that relativity, quantum mechanics, and darwinian evolution have internal problems totally unrelated to God or the Bible or Jesus.

2.a. Offer a better theory of your own.

3. Wear a wristwatch and check it more often than you ever dreamed necessary -- or possible..

3.a. Wear another wristwatch to check the first

3.b. Get the Royal Observatory app for your phone and use it to check the others.

3.c. Correct that one.

4. Learn to count everything in a room as soon as you enter -- or better still specialize in one thing, like squares or reds...

5. Learn to speak a foreign language, but not French or Russian, more like Twi, Wolof, or Akkadian.

5.a. Find a Twi, Wolof, or Akkadian restaurant in your town.

6. If you actually date the same person more than once, show them you care by giving them an inventory of what they wore on the previous date sorted by density or electrical resistance.... or first density and within that electrical resistance...
