Thank you so much Joe.

I just saw the title of the Putin slaps O'bama again thread that you started.

Interesting that he does not have the testicular fortitude to oppose an international thug like Putin, however, he sends out a freaking small army to surround an American citizen's property, steal his property, taser his son and threaten his family.

Despicable person.

And what is this free "speech zone" crap?

Hey Constitutional instructor/lecturer [he was never a "professor"],

AMERICA IS A FREE SPEECH ZONE!!

Looks like the Federal Storm Troopers retreated from the bright lights being shined on them...kinda like roaches.

Despite Alex Jones' non sequteur, here is the story:

The federal government backed down and ended their siege against Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy less than 24 hours after an Infowars exposé connecting the land grab to Harry Reid and a Chinese-backed solar farm went viral, becoming the biggest news story on the Internet.

Last night, we revealed how the feds were using the Bureau of Land Management to bully and intimidate ranchers like Bundy, pushing them off public land in order to pave the way for lucrative “green energy” projects backed by the Communist Chinese government and linked to Nevada Senator Harry Reid

Here is the less illogical, non Jonesian gestalt:

BUNKERVILLE, Nevada (Reuters) - U.S. officials ended a stand-off with hundreds of armed protesters in the Nevada desert on Saturday, calling off the government's roundup of cattle it said were illegally grazing on federal land and giving about 300 animals back to the rancher who owned them.

The dispute less than 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas between rancher Cliven Bundy and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management had simmered for days. Bundy had stopped paying fees for grazing his cattle on the government land and officials said he had ignored court orders.

Anti-government groups, right-wing politicians and gun-rights activists camped around Bundy's ranch to support him in a standoff that tapped into long-simmering anger in Nevada and other Western states, where vast tracts of land are owned and governed by federal agencies.

Don't you just love the consistent conditioning of these semantics. Gee, we used to call those red highlighted groups American citizens.

I saw the link on Drudge and it led to Jones' Infowars site...I wanted to check it out before I posted it.

We had McCarthy, accurately identifying that there were paid Communist agents in the US government and some were in extremely influential positions.

He is still a household word for the left if you even hint that one of theirs could be compromised by conviction, or, corruption!

This moral slug just has a grand old time and he would shut down any opposition if he could.

By the way, what the fuck was that move with the "free speech zone?" Can you imagine what the outrage and uproar would have happened if there was a free speech zone for the Wall Street protestors in Zuchotti Park?

It’s Official: Obama Is a Liar

Posted: 17 Apr 2014 02:23 PM PDT

(John Hinderaker)

This poll, conducted for Fox News by Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research ®, sampled 1,000 registered voters. Released yesterday, it contains good news for Republicans. Its respondents view the GOP slightly more favorably than the Democrats, although the difference is well within the margin of error. President Obama’s approval is under water at 42/51, and Hillary Clinton’s approval/disapproval is slipping at 49/45.

But this is what I found most interesting: 61% say President Obama lies either “most of the time” or “some of the time,” with a plurality of 37% opting for “most of the time.” Click to enlarge:

ObamaLies14-600x106.jpg

This poll indicates that even many loyal Democrats believe that Obama lies most or some of the time, and that many who purport to approve of Obama’s performance as president also believe him to be a liar. That is, I suppose, a sign of the times.

It is easy to see why the consensus now is that Obama lies about important matters: via Breitbart, 64% say that if the truth about Obamacare had been known in 2009, the law never would have passed. It will be hard for Obama to do much to turn voters’ perceptions around, with Obamacare a constant reminder of his duplicity.

I receive daily e-mails from this group and I generally find their stories thoughtful and enlightining.

The title of this article is " In a 'Range War' between a rancher and the government, - no one wins."

There is an implied story line behind the semantic "Range War" that evokes waves of history and emotions,

However, the article appears to be solidly factual and informative. At least it was to me.

Across the rugged frontier of the Western United States, thousands of livestock ranchers work each day to care for their livestock and also care for the land. In the case of many western ranchers, there is a good chance that at least part the land their cattle graze is owned by the federal government.

Map_of_all_U.S._Federal_Land.jpgBureau of Land Management <<<<

A good chance because the federal government owns roughly 660 million acres across the United States, including one out of every two acres in the West. Of the nation’s federally-owned lands, more than 90 percent are located in the West. Some of that land is in national parks or other historic areas, some is leased for oil and gas exploration, some for recreation, but some of it is leased to individuals to graze livestock on throughout parts of the year.

I was not aware of how these "grazing" and "land managment" fees actually became incysted in the massive administrative state that is crushing each and every citizen.

ivestock ranchers pay a grazing fee established by a presidential Executive Order in 1986. Currently, the grazing fee is $1.35 per animal unit month, or the amount of forage needed to sustain one cow and her calf, one horse, or five sheep or goats for a month. The figure is adjusted each year according to current private grazing land lease rates, beef cattle prices and the cost of livestock production. The $1.35 per AUM is the same level as it was in 2013.

Beyond paying a grazing fee, federal lands ranchers are responsible for managing the land and resources, including caring for wildlife habitat, managing noxious weeds, and decreasing potential wildfire fuels. While the relationship between the federal government and ranchers is a well-understood business agreement in most cases, for one Nevada the rancher, the relationship has turned south.

Over the past couple of weeks, the story of Cliven Bundy and his family’s decades’ old battle with the federal government has come to a head and a “Range War” has begun.

Here is what the federal government is really afraid of:

Western lawmakers gather in Utah to talk federal land takeover
By Kristen Moulton
The Salt Lake Tribune
April 18, 2014

From the article:

It’s time for Western states to take control of federal lands within their borders, lawmakers and county commissioners from Western states said at Utah’s Capitol on Friday.

More than 50 political leaders from nine states convened for the first time to talk about their joint goal: wresting control of oil-, timber -and mineral-rich lands away from the feds.

If this takes, there goes the plans of countless control freaks who think all they need to do is toady up in the federal government and they will be able to boss around the entire country.

Any good marketer knows it is far easier to find and convince one person (from among many) to pay one thousand dollars for something than it is to get one thousand people to pay one dollar. This applies to government, too.

It is far easier to concentrate the power game on one center if you are an environmental activist, anti-capitalist busybody, etc., than it is to convince people of the same agenda state by state.

One of the best checks and balances we have of the USA persevering is to keep the power-level between the states versus federal government on an even keel. The current federal government does not want this.

But like it displayed in Bundy-Land, it is very incompetent when faced with a movement of people who have true grit on keeping their states rights (agree with them or not).

I have no doubt the NSA will be monitoring and recording the activities of the lawmakers gathering in the Legislative Summit on the Transfer for Public Lands.

Let's hope the NSA gets careless and some press people do their job.

Nicely said Michael & thanks for the link.

Lets not forget that Dirty Harry has plenty of supporters with plenty of Benjamins, both here & in Washington. He gets the podium to say what he wants, whenever he wants, wherever he wants-no matter how outrageous it is. That can affect public opinion.

Now the Bundy family has evidence to establish that the BLM slaughtered cattle and apparently buried them in a mass grave.

BLM officials reportedly claim they killed the cattle because they were too “rowdy,” Fox News reported Monday. The Bundy family alleges some of the cows were shot up to seven times, claiming that the killings were handled in such a way that the animals suffered.

As TheBlaze has previously reported, “Bundy reportedly owes the federal government roughly $1 million in grazing fees, an amount he accumulated after he ‘fired’ the Bureau of Land Management in 1993 over its decision to turn public land into a protective habitat for the state’s desert tortoise.”

Though the federal government prematurely shut down its operation to confiscate Bundy’s “trespass cattle” earlier this month, Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) recently said the situation is “not over” and revealed a federal task force is begin assembled.

Angela can you have your PETA chapter send out a press release on the government's torture and slaughter of cows.

Unreported in this thread is the stand-off in Oregon.

The Federales went in, and one person is indeed headed for the grave. What did these occupation forces achieve?

Oregon Arrests: Feds Intercepted Occupation Leaders as Part of Plan: Official

by PETE WILLIAMS and ERIK ORTIZ

Local and federal officials seeking to end a nearly month-long protest at an Oregon wildlife refuge realized there was only one way to bring the drama to a close: Arrest the leadership.

The details of Tuesday afternoon's operation — provided to NBC News by a senior law enforcement official Wednesday — ended with the arrest of brothers and occupation protest leaders Ammon and Ryan Bundy, and the death of anti-government rancher LaVoy Finicum.

The decision to carry out the arrests was set into motion when the defiant leaders left the refuge Tuesday to attend a community meeting in the town of John Day. The incident took place some 45 miles north of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge on Highway 395.
