My brother used to be active with Sea Shepherd. My late mother was going to edit Capt. Watson's autobio., but there apparently was too much material of dubious quality, so it went south. I've got about 100 pages of it somewhere on the property. I'm afraid someday these people won't be coming back from their south seas' adventures. The basic problem is the "tragedy of the commons" which appertain to international waters and fisheries. It's really not about the whales any more, but sweeping the seas with gigantic nets taking in everything encountered. Since Japan and the Japanese fishers and whalers won't acknowledge what they are doing and what is going on, Sea Shepherd is at greater risk then anyone out there they are fooling around with. Watson already seems to have taken a bullet in his bullet-proof vest. If the Japanese decide to take him and his crew out, they simply will never be heard from again. In the meantime, they are protected by Hollywood celebrities like Martin Sheen and Bob Barker.

Good! The Sea Shepherds are pirates. They do not own the whales. The way one gets to own a whale is to hunt it or capture it.

Now is these pests want to save the whales they can start a whale sanctuary, go out a get whales and bring them to the sanctuary.
