I haven't read this book, but it's on my want-to-read list. I've found other books by Toulmin worthwhile. If you can't find it at your local library, used copies are very cheap.

Boy did you just bring back memories! The Toulmin Argumentation Model here. He was a major reference in grad school and useful in the field of rhetoric for analyzing rhetorical arguments.
