BaalChatzaf
Listen and look at this: You can save some time if you push it to 1:20Now you see the real Germany, the land of Bethoven and Schiller...There is no Hoestwessel lieder here. There is an Ode to Joy...Feel the Love..... There wasn't a dry eye in my head....
Francisco Ferrer
The view that the German national character has a wide streak of backwardness, authoritarianism and sadism was nurtured during the world wars by skillful tax-funded propagandists and in the post-war period almost single-handedly by William Shirer's acclaimed, best selling and inaccurate The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. william.scherk
I was impressed with the crowd. They are Catalonian, a notably business-like and 'nationalistic' people, and seemed to really like the expression of Germanity in their square in Sabadell. Any German citizens among the crowd may well have enjoyed the same orchestral flashmob in their own country. Not that I mean to offer up a menu of 'national' stereotypes ... Ich verabscheue alle Ausdrucksformen der einfachen "nationalen" Stereotypen.
