Ticketholders expecting a raucous Ted Nugent performance at an Idaho casino just learned the show has been canceled due to the rock legend and outspoken conservative’s alleged racist tendencies.

Without providing a single example to back up its claim, the Coeur d’Alene Native American tribe announced the Aug. 4 concert has been cancelled.

As for an explanation to fans looking forward to the event, casino owners only suggested that he has “racist attitudes and views.”

Though Nugent has not publicly commented on the decision as of this writing, his supporters took to Twitter to express their dismay.

Many expressed the view that Nugent, although often blunt in sharing his views, is far from a racist. In fact, several Twitter users pointed out that the star has long been an advocate of Native American causes.

The tweets in the article are interesting.

Nugent has not responded as yet.

The Daily Kos and the Southern Policy Law Center...

I have never had the same respect for Sweatty Teddy since seeing him try to run a chainsaw on his short-lived and ill-fated tv reality show a few years back.* There's nothing more embarrassing than watching a guy like Nugent try to show his rural bona-fides and utterly fail. Just wear your red flannel shirt and call it a day, I say. Besides, rural bona-fides are highly overrated.

*It was crappy hotel-tv in an even crappier town. What was I supposed to watch?**

**Don't answer Adam. I can only guess at what you would be watching.

Never had a use for pornography.

Those are the nights you hope to have some decent books that you are reading,

A bottle of good Scotch, ice and a full moon to be mesmerized by.

Imagine how disappointed I was when a different use of the "hoe" showed up as just a gardening tool!

Cat-scratch fever hits hard in the America West. Another so-called tribal casino cancels an appearance by the bad boy of Detroit. From Raw Story ...

“The Coeur d’Alene Tribe has always been about human rights — for decades, we have worked individually and as a Tribe to make sure that each and every person is treated equally and with respect and dignity,” said a statement from the tribe.

A spokesperson for the casino said that the company didn’t want to provide a platform for the “racist attitudes and views that Ted Nugent espouses.”

Nugent responded to the cancelation by calling the Coeur d’Alene Tribe “unclean vermin.”

“By all indicators, I don’t think they actually qualify as people, but there has always been a lunatic fringe of hateful, rotten, dishonest people that hate happy, successful people,” he continued. “I believe raising hell and demanding accountability from our elected employees is Job One for every American. I am simply doing my job.”

Nugent famously called President Barack Obama — who is mixed-race — a “subhuman mongrel.” He declared in 2012 that it would have been best if the South had won the U.S. Civil War.

I wasn't really curious enough to find out what Nugent has written or said to justify the first cancellation by the Coeur d'Alene tribal folks. But it does seem the drink is sometimes in control of the rock legend's mouth.

Some commentary suggests that Nugent did not mean the native Indians were the 'unclean vermin' and unqualified-to-be-human, holding that he was referring to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Hmm, are you suggesting that your "facts" are, what would be the phrase, "made up?"

Nice juxtaposition of the native American photo to imply a connection.

Good piece of propaganda.
