Here's Mark with Neil Cavuto. I like Mark. No one can deny he has a strong passion about his beliefs, much of which I can agree with.

Interview starts around 04:18

To paraphrase some of what Mark Levin said, Leaders affect the process. So instead of following the polls and demographics, change the discussion. March 2015 is the next time the debt ceiling will be raised. Have a strategy now. Leaders change events and we need new leaders. Make our case. End of paraphrasing.

Go back in history to Ronald Reagan. His campaign set the tone. He moved the country towards more freedom. I had hoped Christie would have been such an orator but he really is a Statist. I will be sorry if he doesnt show up for the primaries in 2015 but I would never vote for him in a primary.

Perhaps catering a message to the demographics is a losing proposition. Ted Cruz and Rand Paul are two politician - philosophers who could set the tone.

Reagan used the veto nine times in eight years but only once over a budget bill.

Reagan's first budget was passed by all Republicans and a few Democrats. It increased the debt by $144 Billion. The next five budgets were passed by a Republican Senate and signed by Reagan. The last two budgets were passed by a Democratic Congress but they totaled less than Reagan requested. http://zfacts.com/p/57.html

I know, and I am so sorry. I apologize for his mistakes. When someone becomes President something changes in the person - “Always has, always will.” I recently read a pretty damning article about Thomas Jefferson and his expansion of Presidential powers. Did anyone vote for a power grabbing TJ? I didn’t.

I DO think we give our consent, Francisco, though it is not a *constant consent* as when we are stopped from doing something the government deems illegal but we think should be legal.

Peter

Notes by the “nay side”:

George H. Smith author, “Atheism, Ayn Rand and other Heresies,” wrote:

Ayn Rand defends a consent doctrine in several of her essays, but she never explains how this consent should manifest itself - whether, for example, it must be explicit or merely tacit (as Locke believed). Nor does she explain precisely which rights are delegated to government and how they are transferred. Therefore, although Rand appears to fall within the social contract tradition (at least in a general way), it is unclear where she would stand on the nature and method of political consent. I sincerely hope that some of her minarchist followers can shed some light on this problem.”

end quote

And George continued with:

I agree with these critics. If we accept the premise that individuals (and only individuals) possess equal and reciprocal rights, and if we insist that these individuals must consent to be ruled by a government, and if we condemn as illegitimate all governments that rule without consent - then all governments, past and present, have been illegitimate.

end quote

Back to me for a final nyaah! So, rational anarchism denies an (intended to be rationally constructed) government the right to retaliatory force but it gives INDIVIDUALS THE RIGHT TO INITIATE FORCE? That is one of anarchy’s absurdities. So who ya gonna trust? Ghost Busters, the FBI, or “Piss Diddy” with his gat? Under anarchy it would always be you against them, or your gang against their gang. Gangs would just get bigger . . . and we would devolve into a monarchy.

Wow. I just noticed “Las Vegas” has the motto, “Live long and prosper,” at the end of his letter.

Christie is more than a Statist. He is a thug.

Agreed. He would be a good pick to play Hoffa or Capone in a movie.

Feel better now?

Do we need a new Republican Party? I'd be happy if the old one found some balls. It's like a dysfunctional couple. You have a hysterical female for the Democrats, and a weak male for the Republicans. Weakness is impotent against insanity.

I really like Rand and Ted so we'll see what happens. I'm pursuing my goals regardless who gets elected because Obama can't stop me and no one else can.
