  1. Thank you all for the warm welcome! #1. Falsely accused by a site admin of using proxies -- check. #2. Falsely accused by a site admin of being from the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia -- check. #3. Falsely accused of being on drugs by someone completely lacking a sense of humor and worse, someone who deifies the lamest Dr. Who incarnation ever -- check. (Sweetheart, someone's on drugs here but is sure ain't me.) #4. Notice taken of the complete lack of activity on this forum other than by a handful of bitchy, self-important cyber heroes -- check. #5. Simple math done to figure out why this site lacks significant participating members (New members X bitchy, snarky "greeting" from tired, old, frustrated, repressed, angry and impotent site veterans = No thanks from newbies!) -- check. Enjoy the smell of your own ego maniacal farts in this sparsely populated echo chamber, gentlemen. Adieu vous abrutis.
  2. The last thing in the world I'm worried about is genetically modified agricultural products. (I have a similar lack of concern over pesticides too.) My father was a botanist and horticulturalist. He explained the science of agricultural production to me quite clearly. Genetic modification of crops doesn't bother me in the least. Just let me buy tomatoes at a good price and we'll be cool.
  3. Meh, I'm sure Rand could hold her own. Barring that she could always strangle him with her strong peasant hands.
  4. Pathogen

    7.8% my eye!

What purpose would that serve? And how would the territorial borders be drawn? And most importantly who would get the beach-front property?
  5. Hola Objectionist folks! Yes, new here and all that. Been steeped in Objectivism since the mid-80s. Have read everything Ayn Rand has ever penned including the stuff she scribbled in the margins of her comic books, go figure (I hear she was a huge Green Lantern fan). She was a genius, pure and simple. This doesn't mean that she didn't have flaws or was never wrong, it just means that she was pretty damn good at dishing out the philosophy whilst cutting thru the BS. Lots more of course, always lots more, but it's late and I'm hungry and I'm hoping someone can direct me to the lounge. From what I understand you folks put out a pretty good spread replete with shrimp cocktail and made-to-order bruschetta. And if it's not too much trouble perhaps a couple fingers of Glenlivit gently poured over an ice cube or two just to make me feel at home.
