Happy birthday George H. Smith

Like last year I don't expect a reply from George because he follows certain threads he's interested in via email and flat out comes here much less often, which is to say he'll likely miss these salutations.

Anyway, happy birthday, George!

George:

My birthday wishes for you pale in comparison to all the insights you have provided into ideas, philosophy, natural law/rights and our Constitutional history.

Thank you and I expect to wish you lots more birthdays.

Dang, George's day falls on one of my 'bakling' days. Bakiing is like skiing. Fun but full of mishaps on the slopes;

To George, venerable general in the individualist army against The State and its ramshackle ethics of freedom, I give these fortune buns from today's production. A cross-cultural treat, full of cheese and spice, like me. Good fortune, General Ghs! You continue to produce challenging writing week after week. May your future bring you more of the fortune you deserve,

George,

Yeah! No more broken bones. Take your calcium and vitamin D. And don't fall down! Trust me on this, much worse things can happen.

Hope your current relationship with Cato Institute continues, as the articles that you have posted here on Spencer and other topics are quite stimulating.

Anyway, enjoy your birthday.

Although I don't contribute as much to OL as I used to, owing to weekly Cato deadlines, I still keep tabs on many of the threads. But I don't usually do this on a daily basis; now I check things out every three days or so.

Anyway, I am now 64. I recall listening to the Beatles tune "When I'm 64" during the 1960s and wondering what I would be like when I reached that age, Well, now I know. I haven't changed all that much, except my body is slowly falling apart. Voltaire, when in his seventies, complained about "dying in detail." He hit the nail on the head with that arresting phrase. "Golden Years," my ass.
