I remember first seeing guys in what became my TKD dojo practicing the most efficient way to tear off an attacker's testicles. First you have to block the attacker's high blow, then you have to get between his legs with a "spear hand", (thumb held VERY "tight" against the hand, so that it doesn't "snag" on his pants), then turn it palm up, and use the other arm to push his upper body back and down, as you pull back and up. I was aghast. I asked:"Do you guys actually PRACTICE that? WHY?" My instructor then explained the entire philosophy of martial arts training. "The presumption of this stuff is that your attacker is larger, stronger than you, he is armed and you are not, or he has friends helping. If none of this were true, why would you need to know martial arts? If it IS true, you are likely to need every horrific thing you can possibly do, just to save yourself". I think that he was right on the money with that explanation.

dang it, this was supposed to go with the thread about sinking below the enemy. Might I suggest moving the "start a new topic" button to the other side of the page, to avoid this sort of error?

John:

May I suggest you learn how to use the system?

Also, what "library computer" that has a keyboard and/or a mouse, does not have a cut and paste mechanism?

Or are you saying that you cannot do regular "searches" like Google, etc., which also makes no good [sic] sense to me.

And finally, you have asserted your wide ranging knowledge about everything from the future of the human race, through wilderness survival and the elaborate, complicated aspects of global finance and emergency field medical techniques...so

I would think "cut and paste" would be a piece of cake for you...

What do you think?

I never said I couldn't google anything. so why bring such a lie into it? What I said about cut and paste is simply the truth. My comments upon overpopulation are just obvious facts, visible to anyone who will open their eyes. What's your problem? Are you an altruist?

I believe that your statement was in response to my suggestion that you should use cut and paste was that that function was not available on the computer that you had the use of...

If I am wrong, I apologise, shall I look it up in your posts?

Furthermore, I did not "...bring such a lie into it...", I said:

Maybe not quite the complete truth. Have you heard of Control-C and Control-V?

These are 'keyboard shortcuts' that allow you to copy and to paste by pushing two keys at the same time. Press down the Control button (one Windows computers) at the same time as you press the C button. This copies the text you have selected.

Then, to paste, position your cursor where you want the copied material to be inserted. Then press Control and V at the same time.

Voila!

-- there is also an Apple version, should you be using that kind of computer.
