The uh, Blue Jays.

I admit that baseball is the most complete fan experience you can get. It is a slow game so you can see the impossible athleticism and precision of the dazzling catches and plays of the defence ,and the focused power and skill of the offence right down to base running. I have been loving watching them.

But oh, oh....if I could I would give up this whole gorgeous season for one Leafs run at the Cup, Baseball to me is like the totally eligible guy with every admirable quality and accomplishment, and you do admire and are in awe of the accomplishment. But he isn't, you know, hockey.

\

So even if the Yanks do win the pennant I will still speak to Adam.

(What do you think of A,rhymes with God? this season)?

I think the 25th Amendment to the U.S./Canadian Constitution says Canada may never win the American World Series. We can argue about its legality, truthiness, or practicality, but the law is the law. Canada (and Mexico) are not part of America.

Yeah, along with everything else you have to have brain damage...

But, thanks for the compliments on baseball!! Isn't it a great game? I totally sucked at it, I mean really. So, there's this never ending fascination. Those guys are amazing. I'm sure I would've sucked at hockey too though, if I ever tried it.

Watching the U.S. Open...now those participants are seriously conditioned. Pulling for Federer & Serena to win it all.

NY Mets and the NY Yankees - Greg told me that it is written..."It is written," he said to them,” 'My house will be called a house of Champions,' however your hockey team blue jays are making it a 'den of feriners." (Steinbrenner 21:13)

Do you remember the1962 Mets, spearheaded by Marvelous Marv...they set the record for most losses in a season with 120!

Yankees look strong.

Angels still gasping for air...need more clutch hitting.

Too early to call the WS champ...the season still has some meat on the bone.

"Vinegar Bend" Mizell...geez, now that's digging deep Adam. I do remember the t.v. announcer stating during a Mets game "another good inning for Roger Craig"...this after he gave up a couple of runs. lol

Never went to see the Mets during the early 60's. They were the heir apparent to dem bums who fled to Calif., in least popularity in my household.

We worshiped at the altar of the pinstripes.

Of course the Giants had a strong team with Willie & Co. back then too.

Congratulations go to the Carol and Marc...the Blues forced there way into the dance contest by playing great baseball and making some of the best late season acquisitions in the last decade.

I liked it when the Yankees had the Kansas City Royals as a kinda farm team...

Now if my beloved Yankees can somehow get by a very good, young and hungry Houston team, they will face KC.

The Blue Jays Ranger series could be one of the great series of all times.

My Mets face the LA Dodgers, with ex-Yankee Don Matingly as their manager. This ain't no subway series since the dirty Dodgers abandoned Brooklyn in the '50's.

The game of the week is the wild card game Wednesday night pitting the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Chicago Cubs [Cubs have not won a World Series close to a hundred years.

St. Louis, one of the finest organization baseball history awaits the Cubs Pittsburgh winner.

No joy in Mudville North.

It is an American game love...I get concerned by your absence...

So, no hockey predictions?

I am expecting a plethora of positive pucks from my Rangers, Islanders and Devils lol

Game four was obviously critical for the Mets. They needed error free ball to beat KC regardless and the manager seems to have used too many pitchers in that game. As someone else said, five pitchers means five chances to lose. Then in this last game the manager made the mistake of telling his pitcher he was coming out then changing his mind after he destroyed his pitcher's pitching groove.

this World Series is the first baseball I've watched in many years, maybe decades (I first got soured when the Mets traded Lenny Dykstra (sp?) and then the intolerable players' strike wiping out the end of one season

I wish that 'Daunce Lynam' lady would get back in the game. Forum software suggests it is her 103rd birthday today, so maybe my wishes will be unmet. We need more than occasional ladies here, and I think she would love the new forum woman too.

Here's to Carol on the anniversary of her emergence into individual life. Hope all is well in her corner of the Socialist Hellhole and that she is no closer to the grave than I. Forum software says she was last active October 29 last year.. She has probably missed the hoopla of Trump and Iowa and beyond.

I miss Barbara, I miss Carol, I miss even Newberry on alternate Mondays.

Come back, little Sheba!
