BMXXX
It's to the effect of "this battle must/needs to be fought with clean hands, because the enemy's power is in (guilt?)"i'm unsure if it's galt's speech, virtue of selfishness, or something else. am going blind tearing through my books, pdf's, and google, all to no avail.it was in the context of things like "no unconcerned/neutral parties in such a struggle" if i'm recalling correctly. god this is driving me crazy, but am imagining someone here can save the day! They did not disarm me--I threw away my weapon. This is a battle that cannot be fought except with clean hands--because the enemy's sole power is in the sores of one's conscience--and I accepted a code that made me regard the strength of my hands as a sin and a stain."" BMXXX
Ha! was sitting on my couch w/ the lexicon just pouring through, didn't think you guys'd be *that* quick! thank you and happy festivus!/edit: am doubly embarrassed, as rearden's contemplation while ferris yaps is about the most poetic in the book IMO, just literary gold! Have probably read those pages at least 30+ times
