Further material re Rand's possession of a typewriter --

From the post next above:

Letters

pg. 3

[bold emphasis added]

Unfortunately, no other letters remain until 1934, when AR purchased a typewriter and began to make carbon copies of her correspondence.

I had been wondering how she produced typescripts of film stories and of We the Living (completed in late 1933) - using a borrowed typewriter? or maybe one at the office where she worked? She could hardly have afforded to hire a typist in those years.

While looking for other material in the biographical essay in Who Is Ayn Rand?, I came across this:

Who Is Ayn Rand?

pg. 182

[bold emphasis added]

In early summer [1929], [Rand] obtained an office job in the wardrobe department of RKO pictures. [....] Frank O'Connor was working at studios with some regularity. They were able to permit themselves an occasional luxury: they bought their first radio and their first car - the latter a second-hand convertible, more expensive than they could fully afford; Frank ordered a desk to be made for Ayn - she still works at it today - and gave her a portable typewriter

I was enmeshed in some research on an issue and stumbled upon a website called "patheos."

I ran a search for "ayn rand" and came up with 826 hits.

Some of the most bizarre religious blogs turned up.

This YouTube was funny, called, "If Ayn Rand Were Your Travel Agent:
